SV Mod meet at the batcave…

Yessir, as one of my hobbies overlaps another, there is an inevitable set of pictures created. :)

Photography + Motorcycling = my most recent set of pictures.

Here are a couple pictures from that set. :) The whole set can be found HERE.

Overall it was a productive meet. A lot of hot dogs and brauts were eaten. Maybe even some of the kids mac-n-cheese lol. Good times :D

This is half of what motorcycling is all about. If you own a bike and never work on it, I IMPLORE you to take your hand to a wrench. It’s rewarding like nothing else :D

Saturday mod meet!!

Saturday a bunch of us SV’ers got together and had a mod meet. Not too abnormal. Just a bunch of guys standing around shooting the breeze and working on bikes :)

Zen and the practicality of motorcycles

I’m a motorcyclist.

I’ll have had my license three years next week and my SV650 for 2½ years next month.

I LOVE motorcycling. So much so that I commute almost every day on my SV. As many days as I can. Last winter, my bike didn’t sit for more than nine days and it only sat for that long because of the 28″ of snowfall. I still dug my little SV out every day and waited patiently for the salt to get cleared from the roads.

I love to do my own maintenance too. I’m an avid rabid member of SVrider.com . Sometimes we have mod meets (next week at the bat cave!) and sometimes I get a wild hair up my butt to do something on my own at home.

The next set of pictures are the result of 1.5 hours of labor and 24 hours of patience. lol.

Motorcycling and getting to work on the bike is like nothing else. I have some genuinely serene (and ridiculously frustrating at times) moments with the bike but even an accident that stopped me from walking for a month didn’t stop me from getting back on.

Here’s to getting 14k miles out of these new tires!!
