Spotlight: Will Dyer, Macro/Food photographer extraordinaire
Extraordinaire is right. My own brother puts me to shame and rocks macro and food pictures like nobody’s business. I figured today would be a great day to highlight his talent! (Are you tired of seeing my work yet? lol).

No fancy high key for the new Halo reach. lol. Let’s be real, this game is meant to be played and not shot in the kitchen lol.
And then I was like… wouldn’t it be fun to play with flashes? So my brother indulged me and modeled for a couple of flash shots. One side lit shot (like sporty people do) and two cross lit shots. I can’t wait till my hot shoe umbrella light stand holders get here lol.

Alrighty, so as a photographer, sometimes it’s nice to get new inspiration. It’s not always easy to get though. Sometimes you have to challenge yourself or enter a challenge. SVRider.com was having an “A to Z” challenge where you go through the alphabet picking a new word as inspiration for each letter of the alphabet. I’ll post the one I did tonight (M is for Midget with the Munchies) first and the rest after it.

I guess I thought it would be a great idea to start a blog to organize my brain. It’s pretty cluttered and in need of desperate organization.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words… I think that’s what I’ll start with.

I took this shot in 2007 on a vacation trip to NYC. (Back to the future past!!) It’s amazing how many years go by and I find myself still in love with this shot. The view from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building can be breathtaking!
I think this first post will be a good start for wallydyer.com . Photography by Wally Dyer. Or Wally Dyer Photography. I haven’t decided what to do about a name yet. I’ll just continue to shoot until I come up with something. lol. I plan on posting many, much, more shots from weddings but… here are a few more pictures from that NYC trip:
